Angie Harris is the Research Assistant working on the USDA-NRCS project titled Achieving Agricultural Water Security in Connecticut through RCPP. Angie received a BA in Environmental Studies from New York University and an MS in Environmental Science from the University of Rhode Island. Her masters research assessed impacts of coastal climate change in the northeast US. She has conducted research on tropical forest ecology in South America, riparian vegetation in Nevada, and ecosystems and watersheds in the Hudson Valley. At the US EPA Global Change Research Program, she used geospatial tools to study and model climate and land use dynamics across the United States. Angie has apprenticed at a variety of farming operations, and most recently, completed a season at an organic vegetable and flower farm in Simsbury, CT. She is excited to work on a project that will support farmers in drought preparedness and water security.
